End-of-Summer Self-Care Checklist

Here’s my end of summer self-care checklist. Not to “fix” you, but to remind you:
you can still rest.
you can still glow.
you can still choose yourself.

🌞 1. Get sun-kissed — not sunburned

Spend time outside without a goal. Just be.
Lay in the grass. Sit by water. Let the sun touch your skin (SPF always, of course).

Tallow Sunscreen SPF 50
Being in the elements helps me reconnect with my body and breathe deeper.

Try: A solo sunset walk. No phone. Just you and the sky.

2. Journal what this season gave you

Summer may have been messy, magical, quiet, or chaotic.
Write it out. Let it go. Let it stay. Whatever feels true.

Prompt: “What did I learn this summer? What do I want to carry with me into fall—and what can I leave behind?”

3. Hydrate + glow from the inside out

Summer heat can dry you out, literally and emotionally.
Drink your water. Add a slice of lemon or cucumber.
Moisturize your skin. Use body oils that feel luxurious and grounding.

some of my favorites body washes, body oils, and lotions are.

Moroccanoil Night Body Serum Body Oil

Moroccanoil Shower Gel Body Wash

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion

Try: A post-shower body oil massage with some music playing in the background.
Your body deserves tenderness.

🧘🏽‍♀️ 4. Let your nervous system exhale

We hold so much tension without realizing it.
This is your reminder to stretch. Breathe. Cry. Laugh.
Rest is productive. Stillness is sacred.

Try: One day without a to-do list. Let your body lead.

5. Clean your physical and emotional space

The end of summer is the perfect time to reset.
Clear out clutter. Clean your space gently, not like a chore, but like a love note to your future self.
And while you're at it, declutter your mind too.

Let go of: guilt, pressure, old expectations, people pleasing, perfectionism. You don’t need to carry it all.

🌊 6. Go near water if you can

Whether it’s the ocean, a lake, or even a long bath, water is healing.
Let it hold you. Let it rinse off anything heavy.

If you can’t get away: close your eyes, turn on a wave sound playlist, and breathe deeply for 5 minutes. Let yourself drift.

7. Romanticize your night routine

Light a candle. Put on soft clothes. Rub in your skincare slowly.
Play music that makes you feel something.
Talk to God. Talk to yourself kindly. Let the day melt off.

Try: Lavender oil on your temples, chamomile tea, and a “thank you” whispered to the universe before bed.

🤍 You don’t have to be new. You just have to be present.

This isn’t a list to make you feel like you need to do more.
It’s a reminder that you’re allowed to slow down, care for yourself, and end summer in a way that nourishes your soul.

Let the soft things save you.
Let this season end with gratitude and grace.
