Locking In for the Next 6 Months (A Simple Reset)
Six months.
Not forever.
Not “the rest of your life.”
Just six focused, intentional months.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what can actually change in half a year if you stop living on autopilot and start locking in.
We overestimate what we can do in a week, but wildly underestimate what we can do in six months.
Six months of consistency.
Six months of saying no to distractions.
Six months of choosing discipline over mood.
That’s enough time to quietly change your entire life.
What “Locking In” Really Means
Locking in doesn’t mean burning yourself out or becoming obsessed with productivity.
It means getting serious about a few important things and protecting them like they matter.
It looks like:
• Deciding what actually deserves your energy
• Creating routines instead of random efforts
• Doing the small things daily
• Showing up even when you don’t feel like it
• Choosing long-term growth over short-term comfort
Most of us aren’t stuck because we don’t know what to do.
We’re stuck because we won’t stay consistent long enough to see results.
Pick Three Areas to Focus On
The biggest mistake people make is trying to change everything at once.
For the next six months, focus on less, not more.
Just choose three categories that matter most right now.
Maybe it’s:
• Health
• Finances
• Faith
• Relationships
• Mental wellness
• A creative dream
• A side business
You don’t need 15 goals.
You need 3 priorities.
My Personal 6-Month Lock-In Plan
For me, locking in looks like getting serious about:
My health – Pilates, cleaner eating , and honoring my limits.
My online work –dedicating myself to what I’ve chosen to build.
My inner life –prayer, journaling, a daily chapter of my Bible, learning more, and staying grounded.
Nothing dramatic.
Nothing complicated.
Just steady.
I’m not trying to be perfect.
I’m trying to be consistent.
The Simple System That Works
You don’t need a complicated plan.
Here’s all it really takes:
• Decide what matters
• Build small daily habits around it
• Track your progress
• Remove distractions
• Repeat tomorrow
That’s it.
Most success is boring.
And that’s the secret.
What Could Change in 6 Months?
Imagine this:
In six months you could be:
• Healthier and stronger
• More confident
• Financially more stable
• Closer to God
• Further along in your dreams
• More disciplined
• Proud of yourself
Not because of motivation.
But because you decided to lock in.
How You Can Start Today
If you want to do this with me, here’s your starting point:
Write down your three focus areas.
Choose ONE habit for each area.
Put them on your calendar.
Commit to six months — not perfection.
No big announcement.
No dramatic life reset.
Just a quiet decision to get serious.
Six months from now is coming whether you lock in or not.
The question is:
Who do you want to be when it gets here?
If this resonated with you, save it, share it, or come back to it when you need the reminder.
