A Slower Life With God (What I’m Unlearning)
My life with God has never been rushed.
It’s been gentle, intentional, and quietly sacred.
I’m unlearning the pressure to do more, measure more, or appear more.
A slower life with God isn’t laziness or a lack of ambition.
It’s presence.
It’s showing up in the quiet moments, the ordinary, the stillness.
1. Unlearning the Hustle in Faith
Hustle isn’t just work.
It sneaks into prayer, devotion, and reflection.
I used to think closeness with God meant doing it right or doing it all.
But true connection isn’t a checklist.
It’s quiet.
It’s patient.
It’s steady.
2. How I Actually Spend Quiet Time With God
My sacred moments unfold quietly.
They’re simple. Honest. Sometimes messy.
I speak my prayers out loud, even if they fall short.
I sit with my Bible open, sometimes just letting it be.
I talk to God in the shower like He’s right there.
I take small, intentional pauses before the day begins.
These moments aren’t long or perfect.
They’re real.
They’re enough.
3. Slowness as Obedience
Stillness isn’t weakness.
Choosing slow isn’t quitting.
It’s obedience.
It’s showing up fully and quietly, without distraction.
It’s choosing God over noise.
It’s letting His timing shape the day.
4. Protecting This Season
I protect my peace.
I’m careful with my energy.
I simplify my focus.
Less noise. Fewer distractions.
I protect my creativity.
I give it space to unfold.
I protect my soul rhythm, held with intention.
This isn’t hiding from life.
It’s entering it deeper. Clearer. Calmer.
Slower doesn’t mean less.
It means listening.
It means a faith that speaks in silence.
It means a heart tuned to God in every moment.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1
